The Inter-American Development Bank is issuing an open call for innovative startups working on water, sanitation, hygiene and health projects to enter its seventh Demand Solutions event. The contest seeks to reward startups that can provide a solution or product already under operation (not just an idea), or at least a viable product currently being tested by users in Latin America and the Caribbean. Categories include; improving sanitation, increase data use, mobile solutions against infectious diseases, and improving water quality. The startups can present solutions, products or services. One of the selected startups’ co-founders will have the chance to make a pitch before a jury on Venture Night, which will take place in November in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
